For ASML (a giant company in the micro-chips industry) we produced an interactive audio-visual show for their 35 year celebration at the Dutch Technology Week. For this presentation we used a 3D camera an custom build interactive video software to tell the amazing history of ASML and nano-technology.
With this technology the presenter was able to walk virtually in the ASML factory, play with the machines, shrink to nanometer scale, walk inside a mobile phone, and much more during the 20 minutes show. Complex technological concepts became a fun experience and easy to understand for the audience. A succesful, innovative presentation by a succesful, innovative company.
3D camera and software
For this show, we customized our Augmented Stage technology. With Augmented Stage, the performer can literally step into the audio-visual composition on the screen, walk around in this artistic virtual world, and interact with all videos and graphics live. For this, we created advanced real-time motion graphics software. The presenter also has live control over the timing of the show. Touching the graphics triggers new scenes and actions, such as starting a video or an animation, allowing her to synchronize everything perfectly with her presentation.
The show
The show was presented in a big tent on the ASML terrain in Veldhoven (NL) during the Dutch Technology week. The tent fitted 600 people and we did 8 shows per day for two days.
Production
For the show we made recording is the ‘clean rooms’ of ASML. These are the workplaces where the ASML machined are assembled and manufactured. These spaces are completely dust-free, so we had to wear special suits to keep dust out. Very interesting to see the working processes inside of the clean rooms!
